Nothing at Anfield

Liverpool 2-0 United
Premiership 2009/10; attendance 44,188
This match had been hyped up as massive all week. The talk is played out as a series of pantomime press conferences. But it's worn thin for me. After last season's two defeats by Liverpool and still winning the Premiership in truth it's just part of the season. Probably rue not picking up the points at Burnley or only drawing with Sunderland at home when it comes the wire in April. As for Benitez under pressure - well seven defeats is pressure not a blip of four. The owners are under more pressure looking glum in the best seats wondering why this game doesn't have touch downs and hot dog concessions.

On the day Liverpool were the better team. Hardly got a look in for the second half apart form Valencia hitting the bar. The score line flatters the match as United threw everything forward to get the equaliser at the end and got caught with no defenders. At which point I turned off the Tv, issued a news blackout and stomped off to the local shops for some bits and pieces.
