9 out 9 a win in Moscow

CSKA Moscow 0-1 United
Live on Match Tracker & Sky Sports 2; attendance 37,500
These 1730h (BST) kick-offs play havoc with trying to watch the match. Still at work had to fire up the Manchester United website for their text updates for the first half. Raced home for the second half on Tv.

Looked comfortable even without the best team on the plastic pitch. I'll go for a tip of the hat to UEFA for changing the rules to allow earlier kick-offs and the plastic pitch. At least you get a playable surface and nobody is staying up until midnight Moscow time. Would have I been writing such if we'd lost?

Great goal by Valencia. Think he's settling in now. Even Nani played well tonight. Now that's out of the way - top of the group with all nine points. The tickets for the remaining two fixtures at Old Trafford are already on open sale. Okeh it's not over yet but the knock-out stage beckons.

The big one at Anfield on Sunday - already nervous and giddy.
