A far from thrilling match. But that's football, after Saturday's classic against Spurs a quiet night in with no upsets was what we got on Sky Sport 2. Essentially turn up, play on a warm sweaty night in Istanbul and come home with three points. Good header by Paul Scholes who played a brilliant game all night without the sliding tackles. It could have all gone wrong with a wicked deflection earlier on and returning with no points.
I'd have like to have seen more of the crowd on the Tv. At one point whole sections had their backs to the pitch and were jumping up and down. Note to travel agent - book me a ticket for a sell out Turkish footie match I want to join in the madness.
On to the derby on Sunday which will be a more edgy affair when I'm sat in row 8 upper tier.
