Back to dear new Wembley for the last run-out before the long hard Premiership season. Watching this game you know you're viewing the best in Europe just getting into second gear. Entertaining game if only because it's not the Premiership were a few dropped points costs you the title. Great goal from Nani when those long shots come off they are spectacular which isn't that often. A couple of points - Chelsea went ahead with United not playing to the whistle.The ref should have stopped the game. He stopped it a few minutes earlier when Ballack went over and didn't get up. But those are the rules. Other point is Rooney scored in the 92nd minute. He never gives up and games are not lost until the ref says so.

There then followed some very lack lustre and tired looking penalty taking by United. That's the third after time shoot out they've lost in a row . It's also the third penalty shoot out in succession for this trophy.
