The 10km race past Old Trafford

Not one for getting up early on Sunday but got down to Old Trafford for 1020h. Not bad usually sat around with coffee and dressing gown at this time. All this to see the 10km run in Manchester, and what better place to get a good view than outside the stadium of champions. It's at the 4km mark.

You have to hand it to people who put themselves through this. They come past in five batches. The fast people have a watch to monitor their timings. The stragglers get mixed up the next batch of fast runners. In between there are thousands of others - over 33,000 people.

Obviously nipped into the Mega Store where the Biffa herself bought a fetching glittery United sleeveless number. I settled for a cheaper £6 t-shirt from the unofficial sellers outside. They must have run them off last night as it is about the 18 title wins. The bloke warned me it will shrink a little on the first wash. Don't intend to get it dirty.
