You can always rely on a local newspaper coming up with a gem of a non-story. Giraffe felled by Red Devil is in that category. This is a large toy giraffe that got damaged by an exuberant United fan going home from the Arsenal match. I don't know the giraffe personally but I've seen him many times outside the toy shop on Manchester Road. Police called, no arrests, free publicity. From the South Manchester Reporter 21st May.
