A team of two halves

United 5-2 Tottenham Hotspur
Premiership 2008/09; attendance 75,458
What a game to go to. Seven goals and all at the far end. If Spurs hadn't insisted on swapping ends before the start they might have all been down at the Stretford End. I'd have done the same as it put United defending into sun. A touch of sloppy defending in the first half and your two nil down at the break. We're wondering if United will ever score a massive three goals to take the points. A dull twenty minutes mooching in front of your seat waiting for the second half.

Back in it with a Ronaldo penalty. Then back to the vigour, challenging and chasing to get the equaliser. The goals kept coming. I was in total disbelief. The view to the far end is a long away, away with my eyesight. It is not until you see the ref signal a goal and the liners flag has stayed down that you truely believe it is another goal.

What a happy crowd - six would have been nice but let's not get greedy. Singing and animated chatter as we crossed the bridge unlike last Wednesday's 2-0 win over Portsmouth. Just watched a fantastic come back - a team that played on fire if only for 45 minutes.
