Three games to go and really hoping for an FC United win today against Nantwich Town. That's the 4th place team against 3rd place and both looking for a play off place. So the three of us set off, the Biffa herself, The Neighbour is driving and me doing distracting chatting. A great sunny day spent in the garden and now an afternoon in the sunshine of Bury.

In the end it was a frustrating draw. Both teams cancelling each other out in a close encounter. Anyone could have won it. FC came close with two shots that cannoned against the cross bar, and some goal mouth scrambles. But the Dabbers are a solid side and their No.11 stands out as a play maker.

Come 1700h FC now lie in 6th with Nantwich in 5th. I feel a play off place has slipped away - it's now down to teams like Kendal Town and Bradford Park Avenue throwing points away. Actually the pessimist in me has already worked out is coming up and down into this league - all teams I've not seen.

Even though the result wasn't good, it was an entertaining match. The Biffa herself bought a badge for £3 from the Mega Cabin, and The Neighbour splashed out on a Republic of Mancunia clock. The Mega Cabin is the friendly merchandise outlet just outside the Gigg Lane ground - it started a few years with a table called the Mega Stall.

Game 63; admission £7.50
