FC Fail to get a Play off Place
Listened to the FC United on the wonderful FCUM Internet radio. I really wanted to be at Gigg Lane with the biggest crowd of the season of 3,714. But circumstances were otherwise. Leading by one goal against Bradford Park Avenue for most the match. But near the end BPA squared it. News that Kendal were drawing 2-2 with Whitby Town meant it was still possible to get 5th place.
Had to go to Old Trafford five minutes before the end left in a no know situation. Got to the stadium and before we entered had do some web browsing on the mobile phone. Eventually the right page came up to display the results. Kendal won 3-2, and FC United drew 1-1.
1. Eastwood Town 87
2. Ilkeston Town 82
3. Nantwich Town 76
4. Guiseley 76
5. Kendal Town 74
6. FC United of Manchester 72
7. Bradford Park Avenue 72
So another season in the Unibond Premier - it's a very competitive league. A few new teams to see. Durham City are promoted up, Hyde United coming down from the Blue Square North. Also there are rumours that FC United will be playing not at Bury next season but where then?
