Mini Derby Win

Manchester United Reserves played Manchester City Reserves tonight in the Manchester Senior Cup. It was at Ewan Fields, Hyde United's ground. Didn't go, still at work 15 minutes before the 1900h kick off, but wanted to find the result.

Eventually the web produces the outcome...and the winner of bringing the news is the Manchester City web site at around 2200h. United Reserves won 0-1 with a goal by Lee Martin. City's goalkeeper was Joe Hart, who I rate as one of the best, unfortunately he doesn't get a first team game after Shay Given was signed in January...

This puts United in the final against Bolton Wanderers. Usually played at the end of the season.

United: Ron Robert Zieler, Ritchie de Laet, Robert Brady, Corry Evans, Oliver Gill, Matthew James, Rodrigo Possebon, Daniel Drinkwater, Darron Gibson (Joe Dudgeon, 46), Lee Martin, Zoran Tosic (Oliver Norwood, 70).
