Giggs goal is brilliant

West Ham United 0-1 United
Premiership 2008/9; attendance 34,958

It's pressure on when you want the three points and have to play your game last. After seeing the last bit of the Portsmouth game and Liverpool take all three points you really need that win to go back on top. Dreadful shambles of a Portsmouth defence in that match, and the manager will get the blame.

So fill in the day with a long way round walk to the shops for your bits of groceries, tidy up the garden and get cold hands, then settle down to watch Sky Sports with a mug of hot tea. Oh we know how to live. I know why fans have alcohol before a game it settles the nerves, think I'll have to sack pre-match mild stimulants. Don't like the games at the Boleyn Ground it's not a lucky venue.

The best bit was Giggs goal. It might be his last season but he tricked two defenders as he approached the penalty area. Then fooled everyone into expecting a cross, only for it to bobble into the far right bottom corner. One of the best goals I've seen on Tv. Vintage stuff.

Good effort all round by the team. Even witnessed Berbatov track back to defend, even do a bit of chasing the ball. The last ten minutes was trying to keep that one goal lead - didn't look desperate but you know one slip up late on gives you just a draw.

I want to see West Ham at least get to the UEFA Cup next season because it is Gianfranco Zola in charge. A tough job at that club on a tight budget. Nice to see Tevez get a round of applause from the West Ham fans as he left the field. Wonder if he'd get the same if he leaves Old Trafford? Why is he still on some strange loan deal?
