No goals, soggy pitches and no change

Tottenham Hotspur 0-0 United
Premiership 2008/09; attendance 35,882

I'm a bit sick of these 1730h kick offs. You have this appointment waiting ahead of you all day, you know the results elsewhere, it ruins the rhythm of eating and drinking times. But that's the modern game, just get on with it. A lacklustre first half, no prospect of a goal. I had a sleep on the sofa during the interval. Fortunately the Biffa, herself, woke me up shouting "they've kicked off again". The game improved and I really thought there is a chance of a win. Well it went in the back of the net from Ronaldo but it accidentally touched his hand from his chest. Gomes, the Spurs goalie had an excellent game, which was unfortunate for us.

Spent an earlier hour in the day looking for a local small game to go...but found three waterlogged pitches. Only the Altrincham v. Southport in the FA Vase was on, but getting back for the start of the United game would have been a bit tricky. Oh well...not the best Saturday.

Excellent post. Sums up my views on the game as well.

Really like the site by the way - would you be able to drop me an email when you get the chance?

Cheers

Thomas
