Another cold night and the third 1-0 win on the trot. But it's three points which is what really matters. The crowd were up for more goals and more singing than in recent matches. A new song, well an old song it's back to Yellow Submarine with new words....

Middlesboro are a tough and well organised - they pack the box, they've had the tactics drummed into them. Eventually, and it was enternity there was a loose ball in the box. Fortunately it fell to Berbatov, anyone else would have lashed at it over the bar as it was at one of those tricky knee heights. Not the best game to end the year on nut still on track near the top of the table.
