Looked at the team selection and thought "we'll be lucky to win this". When Vidic went off after a few minutes knew we'd be up against it now. The relentless pressure was on, won't be able to keep a clean sheet for 90 minutes. If we can only get to half time with 0-0. No, they scored. Second half was a lot brighter, and an equaliser by Rooney from a silly mistake. At least it'll be a draw, and would have been happy with that. But again no, lost out to a penalty, coolly taken by Ballack.
That means
a) A must win game next Saturday against a bogey team West Ham United.
b) Wait until Monday night and hope Chelsea slip up at Newcastle. I doubt it.
c) A must win game the week after at Wigan. At least they don't need the points.
d) Chelsea have Bolton Wanderers at home - both teams need the points.
Disappointed.
