FC in Presidents Cup Final

I promised myself if FC United got to a cup final this season I'd go. It's on Thursday and it means a trek over to Ashton-under-Lyne. The stadium is home to Curzon Ashton. It's modern and was opened by Sir Alex Ferguson with a match against a Manchester United Reserve side back in 2005.

FC United don't have a particularly good record against Radcliffe Borough - 1-1D, 1-3L, 2-2D. But there was tonight, Tuesday, when they managed a 2-0 win away against them which takes the team up to a 3rd place in the league.

Trivia note: The Chairman of Radcliffe Borough is Bernard Manning Jnr, who has taken over from his late dad. The Boro fans, bless them, do sing "we are the Bernard boys".
