FC get to play-off final

FC United 3-2 Bamber Bridge att:1820 , Gigg Lane
Unibond Division One Play Off Semi-Final
A tight game tonight. It wasn't until about the 22nd minute that FC managed to string a few passes together and this put Adam Carden through on goal. He took it well. But most of the play was hoof the ball and chase it nowhere. Another goal from Rory Patterson before half-time and it's looking comfortable. Second half the game starts slipping away. Bamber Bridge score and are back it in. This spurs the home crowd to get behind FC and another goal - it's now 3-1. Just as I'm saying to the bloke next to me it's won it then slips again. Sloppy defending now 3-2. So now it's a noisy, nervous, scrappy 11 minutes until the final whistle.

Funiest moment chatting to the blokes behind me who try out bluetooth on the mobiles at half time. Basically you see how many names come up in a search. Tonight it is 30, apparently not a good night.

So onto the play-off final on Saturday against on-form Skemersdale United. Unfortunately I won't be able to make Bury in half an hour from the end of the West Ham game. Well not unless I can arrange motorcycle outriders and blue lights. It'll be the wonders of internet radio.

Best song - to the tune of Country Road / United Road for Jerome Wright scorer of the winning goal.
Jerome he's United's own
Used to play for Maine Road
He's too good to be a Bitter
Jerome he's United's own
