Where Are They Now : Barthez
Spotted this one. Apparently the always entertaining goal-keeper , read like what's he doing now, has been turned to stone and lives in a big field in Riorges, Loire.
I can't remember the game in which he clearly played the ball outside the penalty area and got away with it. I do remember his last game, a friendly against Stoke City away but can't remember the score? But the best bit was a penalty for Leicester City in front of the Stretford End. Barthez calmly cleaned his boots outside of his goal. Muzzy Izart scored, but had to re-take it as the goalie was not on the goal line. That's the rules. Barthez then saved it. Priceless.
