A very subdued afternoon. Bit of a cold, bit of a hangover and a very quiet crowd - apart from the upper reaches of the Stretford End. But a goal up at half time thanks to Tevez. There was a good spell in the second half with plenty of drama in front of the Birmingham goal - but nothing to show for it. When Tevez went off there was nothing to offer in attack. So you end up for the last five minutes suffering - hoping it won't be a draw. Then a long four minutes added time just playing for time wishing the whislte would blow and the three points would be safe.

Most amusing part was "Pissed Up Man" - a regular vocal supporter who sits in our section. Don't know his name but we always let on. In fact you wouldn't want to not let on. He goaded two tourist supporter types next to me for not showing vocal support for the team. At the end he stood over Mr. & Mrs. Mouse, forced a handshake and said "I never ever want to be at a football match with you two again." "At least they're not leaving early like you" quipped somebody from behind. Poor Mr. & Mrs. Mouse, spend £66 plus travel expenses and get abuse, they'd have been happier in the South Stand morgue.
