FC United update
Whilst big United are off to Reading and then Riyadh I'll take the opportunity to catch up on FC United. A chance to see them play at Radcliffe Borough on Saturday 19th January, and then maybe Rossendale United at Gigg Lane on the following Saturday 26th January.Sometimes Tv shedules work in your favour as The FA Cup 4th round against Spurs is on Sunday (BBC1, 1400h).
After three consecutive victories, and 13 points out of a possible 15, FC are back in with a chance of a promotion or a play-off place. After reading some recent whingeing in the letters pages of a local paper, and in some non-league blogs I'm determined more then ever to go. The stuff was very anti-FC and saying attendances are declining and other such defeatist talk. Could have been taken from the "The Bitter's Book of Sour Grapes" (now in its 31st year).
I've set myself a target of watching 40 football games this year, there is no logic to it, so if I can get to 7 matches during miserable January then I'm well on track.
