Armchair Army Night
January is just one long, dark wet month. Bored at home. Bring on the weekend and the FA Cup against Spurs. Was every United fan cheering their result against Arsenal last night in the Carling Cup? A final against Chelsea and you'd be wanting them to win that too.
Back to tonight. Still bored. FC United 4-1 Flixton in the Manchester Premier Cup 2nd round. Played at Flixton - as too expensive to hire Gigg Lane for a small crowd game. Listened on the internet, and so was somebody else in New Guinea according to the text messages you can send in. He was probably bored at work. Wow! The semi-finals next.
At the same time watching the South Africa v. Angola game on BBC Interactive (Freeview 301). Manucho scores a great header to put Angola ahead. If he does that at United we'll be well pleased. But adjusting to the Premiership can be difficult or not at all. After thinking Veron, Djemba and Kleberson looked good when they started it shows how wrong you can be.

Would be great if FC could win a cup this season.
I'd rather they get a promotion to the next level of the Unibond. Having said that I would go to the final and cheer them on - not been to an FC United night match and it would most likely be a mid-week game.
