Another Sunday, more scousers go pointless
It's a bit strange to go and return from a match in bright daylight in midwinter. That's a 1200h kick off for you. The walk back after a hard won win was even better. A niggly first half, and a few yellow cards dished out. But the second half settled down, so no red cards that often ruins a match. Just as you think it's going to end a disappointing 1-1 draw Ryan Giggs is chopped down in the penalty area. I didn't think the ref would actually give a penalty 'cos I've seen worse dismissed as mere falling over. Hands on head to watch Ronaldo do his tricky run up to strike the ball home. Three minutes of added time to endure. Done, dusted, three points. Other interesting point was a helicopter that kept flying overhead with a banner trailing behind. Banner read "Keep Everton in Our City, CYOB". Couldn't work out the last four letters. This might be the best Everton side for years but you wouldn't want them here every week.
