Meaningless Tournament Alert

Did you know the Club World Cup is taking place this December in Japan? Well I posted an entry slagging off the competition on another blog at OleOle and sparked off a spat of comments. So who cares about these games apart from Toyota (sponsors), and FIFA officials (an expenses paid trip to Japan just before xmas - I wouldn't say no). It probably won't be shown on daytime telly in the UK. Well not unless someone like Eurosport want to fill their daytime schedule. Will AC Milan, Boca Juniors, Waitakere United from New Zealand, and Pachuca of Mexico pull in the audience figures. Half heartedly chasing a gold cup and trying to avoid injuries.
